     Nowadays, all people around the world are already exposed in social media. This social media is connected to people globally in just one click or type in their cellphones or computers. It is not only for socialization but also for educational purposes. That’s why, every educational institution teaches ICT education to every individuals for them to be aware and responsible in using social media sites. One social media site that has been taught is blogging.

    Blogging is a way for every student to develop their self-awareness and discipline in every article that they post. In every post there’s a consequence if you will not follow the certain rules. Like copying the article of someone without recognizing the sources or the author. This is one violation of plagiarism.

    But blogging is also a website where you are free to post your own reflections, insights, ideas and personal experiences. It is one way to express your feelings that you cannot share personally. It is a free site that you can share and get ideas or current issues locally or even globally.

    Blogging has a big help to us. It has also a big role to our world. It has an advantage, yet it also has a disadvantage. the only thing that we should do as users is to be aware and responsible enough in using it to avoid certain circumstances.

Mula bahay hanggang paaralan,

Yan lang ang mundo ng mga kabataan.

Sa tuwing may takdang-aralin

O may importanteng Gawain

Sumangguni lang sa silid-aklatan

Maghahanap ng sagot sa mga katanungan.

Ngayon…

Malaki na ang pinagbago

Ibang-iba na an gating mundo

Dahil ito sa social media

Mula sa ating teknolohiya.

Facebook, Twitter at Wikipedia

Instagram, Friendster marami pang iba

Nilamon na ang mga kabataan ng sistema

Dahil ito sa iba’t-ibang social media.

Tablet, Laptop at cellphone

Ito na ang uso ngayon

Kaya karamihan sa mga kabataan,

Kanilang pag-aaral ay napapabayaan.

Imbis na gamitin sa wasto

Kanila itong inaabuso

Hindi na nag-iisip ng matino,

Kung nakakabuti pa ba ito.

Hindi masama ang pagbabago

Kung alam mong mag balanse nito

Kung kailan at paano,

Kung hindi ba makakasira ng yong’ pagkatao.

Kaya mga kabataan

Gumising sa katotohanan

Huwag magpapalamon sa sistema,

Ng ating social media.

Every people, I can see everywhere

Focusing in cellphone, tablet anywhere

They don’t mind, they don’t care

The difference from the past and present if they compare.

But this kind of social media can harm you

Makes you lazy and lack in spelling too

Cause you have shortcuts while in convo

The spelling is incorrect, even simple “Hello”.

On time that we grow

Social media is also on the go

It always follows you

You can’t stop, you can’t control too.

One thing I suggest as of today

Let’s bring the past and prepare for today

Don’t forget where we start the play

Let’s apply in ourselves every day.

Keep in mind, don’t be independent

Social media can’t help you all the time
